Dr. Marcus D. DavidsonReverend Dr. Marcus Demond Davidson is the Senior Pastor of New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he has served for ten years. Rev. Davidson is the President and CEO of PMD Ministries, Inc. and Dr. Marcus D. Davidson, Inc., offering seminars, lectures, workshops, and curricula focusing on leadership. He is a native of Tuscumbia, Alabama and a graduate of Deshler High School. Rev. Dr. Davidson continued his studies and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in Normal, Alabama. After his call to the ministry, he received a Master of Biblical Studies from Heritage Bible College in Huntsville, Alabama, Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama, and holds a Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in Black Church Leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. He has studied at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas and at the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Practical Theology at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida.

At the age of six, Rev. Davidson accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of his father, Rev. Dr. Green Davidson, III. When he was sixteen years of age, Rev. Davidson acknowledged his call into the preaching ministry.

A young energetic minister, Dr. Davidson is a gospel recording artist, entrepreneur, author, noted preacher, pastor, and teacher who has been blessed to exercise his God-given talents to many across the nation in workshops, seminars, and revivals at the local, state, and national levels.

Pastor Davidson has served and continues to serve in the community on various committees and organizations to provide advisory support along with bringing about change to a wide array of community movements: President, Youth & Young Adult Auxiliary of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc., former Executive Committee Member, former Assistant Treasurer, former Budget Committee Member, former National Baptist Moderators Auxiliary Liason Between Young & Senior Ministers, and former member of the Consortium of Young Pastors of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.; former committee member of the National Singles Conference; former Vice President, Southeast Region of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education; He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National USA Foundation, Inc. He formerly served as Secretary, Administrative Committee Member, Website Committee Member, and Board Member of the National USA Foundation, Inc.; President and Board Member for Community Education Alliance, Inc., former Board of Trustees Member at Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens, Florida; in past years Campaign Treasurer for Scruggs-Young 2009 Campaign; former Moderator and former Second Vice Moderator of the Muscle Shoals District Missionary Baptist Association Incorporated; former Chairman of the Moderators Department of the Northwest Wing State Convention. Pastor Davidson has also served as an Adjunct Religion Instructor at Broward College and Palm Beach Atlantic University. He is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Rho Boule, Theta Alpha Kappa, the national honor society for Religious Studies and Theology, and the College Theology Society. He has received numerous accolades and prestigious awards both nationally and locally.

In 1999, he was elected and served for ten years as the Pastor of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Courtland, Alabama. He is the son of Rev. Dr. Green Davidson, III and Mrs. Barbara Bostick-Davidson. He has four siblings, Vanessa Batten, Latresha Davidson-Woods, Rev. Green Davidson, IV, and LaBradford Davidson. He is married to Mrs. Yvokia Jones-Davidson; they have one child, Layla Alexandria.
