Yvokia Davidson

Mrs. Yvokia A. Davidson is a native of Courtland, Alabama. She is the daughter of A. J. and Eloise Jones. She has seven siblings, Troy Jones, Lyvonne Coffey, Kenneth Jones, Matthew Jones, Sabrina King, Marcus Jones, and Melanie Jones. She is married to the Reverend Dr. Marcus Davidson and they have one child, Layla. She is the Membership Coordinator of the New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and President and CEO of Yvokia Davidson Ministries, Inc., offering life coaching and mentoring.

Mrs. Davidson is a graduate of Courtland High School, Courtland, Alabama. She attended Alabama A&M University, Normal, Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Science in Religion and Master of Arts in Human Service Counseling with a concentration in Life Coaching from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia.

A woman of great perseverance, Mrs. Davidson began her career in the chemical industry. She worked for Amoco Chemicals as an Operations Supervisor. In pursuit of a greater challenge, she was employed by Ineos-Nova Chemicals for fourteen years as an ISO Coordinator/Scheduler. As ISO Coordinator/Scheduler, Mrs. Davidson scheduled for multi-million dollar operations for the company.

Mrs. Davidson has held leadership positions and served on boards and committees within the community such as: Decatur Women Chamber of Commerce as an Executive Board Member and Co-chair of Attendance. She was also a Coordinator of Partners in Education of the Decatur City School System.

She has also faithfully worked within the Christian community. Mrs. Davidson accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Courtland, Alabama. As a member, she was actively involved in the church serving as ministry leader of the Leading Ladies Mentoring Ministry, children’s Sunday school teacher, and ministry leader of the Health and Wellness ministry. She was also a faithful member of the Muscle Shoals District Missionary Baptist Association Minister’s Wives Auxiliary. She worked with the Alabama Missionary Baptist State Convention Minister’s Wives of the Northwest District State Convention in the state of Alabama.

Mrs. Davidson is an avid personal fitness trainer and aerobics instructor. She worked for several fitness gyms in Alabama. However, with a desire to help transform people’s lives for healthy living, she started her own fitness business, YD Fit. Mrs. Davidson is a Nationally Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Step Instructor, and currently pursuing Primary Nutrition certification. She introduced a fitness initiative called Faithfully Fit at the New Mount Olive Baptist Church, Fort Lauderdale, Florida to encourage healthy living within the congregation and community. She currently serves as the SE Regional Coordinator for the “Gift of Life Campaign,” an entity of the Office of Disaster Management of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. and in conjunction with the American Red Cross. In that capacity, she serves eight states in an effort to raise awareness for giving blood to save lives. She currently serves as Chaplin for the Fort Lauderdale Chapter Silhouettes. She is a member of the Links Incorporated, Fort Lauderdale Chapter and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Zeta Rho Omega Chapter of Fort Lauderdale. She is also a member of American Association of Christian Counselors.

Mrs. Davidson enjoys reading, traveling, working with children, and spending time with her loving husband and daughter Layla. She is a devoted wife and mother whose life goal is to please God and serve humanity with the whole of her being.
